About My Wildlife & Landscape Photography and Canvas Prints
My hobby, landscape and wildlife photography, my passion, began some 10 years previous after retiring
from nursing.
As this was the beginning of digital photography, I found there was very little help with camera equipment
and software. Also I live on a farm in the country which makes me more isolated from any real practical
help.
Over the ensuring years my skills along with upgrades to the camera gear plus software I steadily
improved. A strong determination certainly helped.
I offer you quality inspiring canvas print of my landscape, wildlife and garden photography. My travels
throughout Australia and overseas from the Antarctic to the Antarctica usually have a purpose in mind of
what I hope to capture. I could sit hours spellbound by a mob of elephants, a family of Uganda Gorillas or
a mother roo feeding her Joey. An Emu mob and their antics are captivating.
Landscape photography I use Canon EOS 5D with a wide angle lens set on AV, aperture 11-22 mode.
Wildlife photography is captured with a 300mm or 400mm telescopic lens. To capture that eye, a very
sturdy mono pod travels in my backpack. I wish camera gear was a bit lighter or me perhaps a tad
younger.
For dreamy flowing water I use the TV mode. A silky appearance is captured with the slow speed. A
wide aperture is necessary for flowers to get that shallow depth of field, giving the canvas flower image
prominence while the surrounding area is out of focus. |
